Distinguished Engineer - IBM

Jason Hunt is a Distinguished Engineer with IBM. He has over 20 years of experience working with large enterprises to design & develop market-leading solutions in areas such as blockchain, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and cloud networking. Jason also leads IBM’s open source networking efforts, serving on the Technical Advisory Council for Linux Foundation Networking.

Jason also has experience in shaping unique partnerships between large enterprises. He can analyze the market position of companies and find ways for those companies to collaborate to bring differentiated joint solutions to market. As an example, Jason created an integrated end-to-end partnership with a major telecommunications carrier for IoT, from devices to platforms to predictive and cognitive analytics.

Jason has a long track record of innovation specifically within the telecommunications industry. He has aided a tier-1 carrier in the modernization of their enterprise IT architecture, developed a solution for a new line-of-business, and is currently working on the transition to a cloud-based business, including public & private clouds. Jason has a submitted patent and research papers for his technical work.

Jason was a 10-year member of the St. Louis Arch Angels and has conducted technical due diligence for the organization. He is also an ITEN mentor. Jason is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a BS in Computer Science and BA in German.
