Bud Albers is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for both Disney’s Interactive Media Group and for Walt Disney Corporate, where he lead Disney’s Connected and Advanced Technologies (DCAT) team. Albers was responsible for leading technological breakthroughs on existing platforms, as well as developing cutting-edge new technology solutions in support of the company’s new media technology efforts in the online, mobile and gaming arenas. In this role he oversaw the growth of online video, reaching a peak of more than 30M hours of consumer viewing in a month, as well as high volume traditional web operations spiking above a half billion page views in a single day. All tolled, the portfolio he oversaw delivered more than $2.5B in revenues on an annual basis.
