During his career, David has advised Fortune 500® businesses, investment firms and multinational corporations spanning all major industries and geographies. David began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in London where David advised multinational clients in the United Kingdom and continental Europe on international mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions across Consumer, Real Estate and Healthcare. David formerly was a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York and spent several years as a principal investor at Pantera Capital Management LP, Sage Capital LLC and Monolith Brands Group. Prior to rejoining Goldman Sachs in 2024, David was the Founder & Managing Partner of 52 Capital Partners, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm that advised institutional clients on transactions totaling over $6.8 billion in aggregate deal value.
David is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and the National Committee on United States-China Relations. David is a trustee of the Episcopal Day School of St. Matthew, a private independent school in San Mateo, California. He is a member of the Endowment Investment Committee of St. Louis University High School, a private college preparatory school in St. Louis, Missouri. David volunteers on behalf of Harlem Lacrosse, a non-profit organization that provides academic mentoring and athletic opportunities to at-risk youth. David is an Adjunct Lecturer in Finance at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.
David holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, a juris doctorate from New York University School of Law, and a certificate in data science from Stanford University. At Princeton, David was an Academic All-Ivy midfielder on the nationally-ranked Men's Varsity Lacrosse Team and competed in two NCAA Division I Final Four Championships. David formerly served as a Princeton-in-Asia Fellow in China. Proficient in Mandarin, David completed the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University and the Princeton-in-Beijing Chinese Language Program at Beijing Normal University. David and his family reside in San Mateo, California.
