Ed Kniep
Founder/President - CC2G Holdings
Ed Kniep founded CC2G Holdings in January of 2014 to help fund startup and early stage companies, primarily in the consumer products and technology industries. Founding Investments to date include a St. Louis startup in fin-tech, one in fashion-tech, and a health-focused lifestyle brand. Ed has worked closely with these companies to help refine strategy and drive growth.
Prior to CC2G, Ed was President and CEO of Shaughnessy, a regional distributor of fine papers, packaging materials, and signage supplies. After completing a turnaround in Indianapolis and starting two new divisions, he moved back to St. Louis and took over as President. Ed was then promoted to CEO, where he guided the company profitably through industry decline and the economic downturn in 2008. Ed was part of the team that sold Shaughnessy to a competitor in Chicago.
While at Shaughnessy, Ed helped found Meridian Waste Services, a solid waste hauling company. He and two partners started with one truck in 2004. Ten years later the company had over 70 trucks, over 40,000 residential accounts, and were successful in commercial and roll-off business segments as well. Meridian was sold to an investor in Atlanta.
