In 1992, Marshall received his Bachelor of Science In Electrical Engineering, with additional coursework towards a Master of Science, from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T, formerly University of Missouri - Rolla). He has been fortunate enough to be an integral team member at both small companies and worldwide multi-national enterprises.
Upon earning his degree, he spent the following 10 years working for Motorola in its Semiconductor Product Sector (now NXP / Freescale Semiconductor) in Austin, Texas, where he honed his skills in Marketing, Applications, Design, and Research & Development, for some of the world’s largest companies.

Marshall is still very active today, focusing on RF / EMC / EMI issues as they relate to electronics. To this day, he continues to work closely with the world renowned ElectroMagnetic Compatibility Lab at MS&T to better understand and evaluate EMC issues that affect modern electronic devices.
