Rich Kampf is an accomplished senior level business executive.

He has a broad range of proven experience in the electronics industry both from a manufacturing as well as wholesale distribution standpoint. He has a strong background and knowledge in developing effective business, sales and marketing strategies.

Rich has established and led $1B+ global organizations. He has experience in creating compelling value propositions, identifying target markets and customers and then effectively reaching and communicating the right message to those customers. He is experienced in mergers/acquisitions and international business.

For the past two years, Rich has worked for Sanmina Corporation, a $7B leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider serving the fastest growing segments of the global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market. Recognized as a technology leader, Sanmina provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) primarily in the Automotive, Communication Networks, Storage, Industrial, Defense, Aerospace and Medical Markets. As President of the Interconnect Systems Division, Rich led the Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Backplane Assembly, Cable Assembly and Plastic Molding businesses within Sanmina. Responsible for 10 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China with 3,000 employees, Rich refocused the business strategy, consolidated manufacturing and returned the Division to acceptable industry profit levels.

Prior to Sanmina, Rich spent 16 years with Viasystems a $1.2B industry leading global manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards and Electronic Manufacturing Services headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Viasystems provided cost effective, technical solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) in the Automotive, Computer/Datacom, Industrial, Instrumentation, Medical, Military, Aerospace and Telecommunication Markets. As Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Rich led Viasystems transition to a global market segment focused sales and marketing organization that ultimately led to a successful liquidity event valued at just under a billion dollars in 2015.

Prior to Viasystems, Rich has held leadership positions for high profile companies such as Thomas & Betts, Marshall Industries and MSC Industrial Supply.

Rich received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Rich has moved extensively in his career however has settled in the St. Louis area and now calls this home.

Rich is joining Capital Innovators as a mentor. He is excited to use his experience and knowledge to help the participating companies with their business plans and sales strategies to effectively reach and grow their target markets/customers.
